Get in touch with the editorial team

Top Bookmaker is written by a small editorial team who follow British racing closely. If you have a question about one of our guides, have spotted a mistake or want to suggest a topic, we would be glad to hear from you.

How to reach us

The best way to contact us is by e-mail at [email protected]. Please include the address of the page you are writing about and a short description of your question or correction. We read every message and aim to reply to anything that needs an answer, although we cannot promise a fixed response time.

Post can be sent to Top Bookmaker, Mark Ellison, 21 Old Station Road, Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 8GB, United Kingdom. E-mail is much quicker, so please use it whenever you can.

We do not offer a telephone line or live chat, and we never ask readers for passwords, payment details or copies of identity documents. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from Top Bookmaker and asks for that kind of information, please ignore the request.

What we can and cannot help with

We are happy to help with questions about the content of this website: how a betting term works, how we describe a bookmaker in our reviews, or where to find a particular guide. Corrections are especially welcome. If you believe a fact on one of our pages is wrong or out of date, tell us what you think it should say and we will check it.

We are an information website, not a bookmaker. We do not hold accounts, take bets or handle payments, so we cannot see your betting history, settle a bet, unlock an account or speed up a withdrawal. Questions about any of those things need to go to the bookmaker you hold the account with, using its customer service team and, if needed, its complaints procedure. Our guide to betting safely with licensed bookmakers explains the complaints route, including how to take a dispute to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider. We also do not provide betting tips or advice on what to back.

If gambling is becoming a problem

If betting has stopped being fun, or you are spending more than you can afford, help is available and it is free. GambleAware provides information and advice about gambling and where to find support. GamCare offers free, confidential support for anyone affected by gambling, including family and friends. GamStop is a free national scheme that lets you exclude yourself from all online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain in a single step.

You can also use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools built into every UK-licensed bookmaker's account settings. Taking a break is always a sensible choice.

Questions

Common questions

Can you help me with a problem on my betting account?

No. We are not a bookmaker and have no access to any betting account. Please contact the bookmaker's customer service team directly, and if the issue is not resolved, follow its complaints procedure and then refer the matter to the approved dispute resolution provider named in its terms.

How do I report a mistake on one of your pages?

E-mail [email protected] with the address of the page, the sentence you think is wrong and, if possible, what it should say. We check every correction and update the page when the information needs changing.
